1) Information That We Collect
  • Mr Steve The Locksmith collects, uses and stores minimal information including your name, address, work carried out and payment method used when you complete a job form upon the Locksmiths arrival to a job.

  • Although MrSteveTheLocksmith.co.uk website itself does not collect personal or tracking data. Other third party services that provide us with advertising and tracking abilities may use automated technologies including third party widgets and plugins that power things like Facebook like buttons. Information collected by third party plugins and widgets is subject to the privacy policies of each plugin provider.

  • We do not store or collect any card payment details. We accept card payments by using a third party payment processor. They process the payments on our behalf using our purchased card payment system. We only keep a copy of the receipt that the card machine prints out but this contains no personal information.

  • For our key-fobs we collect your name and telephone number so that we can contact you should your keys be found. Taking part in our Key-fob programme is completely optional.

  • When submitting a "Pay Later Authorisation" form the system sends us an email with the information that you submit. These emails are stored in Gmail only and not printed to be stored off-line.

  • If you set up an online business account the website will store any information you give when setting up the account including Name, Business name, Business address etc (Nothing that is not easilly findable by the public) This information is stored in the website admin section database. You will need to choose a password when creating an account and this is encrypted and stored inside the website database. No one can see or know your password and if you lose it we cannot give you it back. You will have to use the reset password page to create a new one.

2) How We Use The Information That We Collect
  • Names, addresses and payment method information remains only on the entry sheet forms that customers fill in at the beginning of a job or the invoice filled in after. We do not duplicate this information anywhere else. This information is used solely to keep a track of completed jobs and to provide any guarantees offered for work carried out.

  • For our key-fob programme we only use your name and number to contact you and give you the detials of the person that has found your keys.

3) How We Share The Information That We Collect
  • We do not share information collected with any third parties and never sell customer information. We do allow third parties to advertise using our services and we do promote other services to you via this website and social platforms (including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram) but all promotions are delivered from those systems and no personal information is shared with them from us. You may share information with them if you are a member of their site or use their services.

  • We may provide information including Name, Address and work carried out to both payment processors and or law enforcement if requested to do so by law and or the terms of purchasing using their services to help with any investigation or information request they need to conduct lawful business.

  • Any information collected by third party apps or plugins including but not limited to Facebook like buttons etc is picked up from your actions and not from our system by the way you interact with such services and therefore you are using their service and run under their privacy policies.

4) Your Options & Acceptance
  • Before the Locksmith entry job starts or after when completing the invoice sheet you fill in a few boxes to state that you agree to the terms of service for using our services. Part of that agreement includes the acceptance of our privacy policy.

5) Your Right To View, Edit & Delete Personal Information
  • You may by law request to see all the information we hold for you by emailing us using the email us button at the bottom of our website. We will require you to prove your identity before we can provide any information to you. This is done for data security and privacy reasons and if we are not sure that you are the person the information requested is for then we reserve the right to withhold that provision until such times as we can be certain by requesting more proof. Please note: a duplicate copy of all this is given to you when we complete a job so we encourage you to retain that copy for future reference.

  • To edit the information we hold on you (Name, address and work carried out) please submit an email using the email us button at the bottom of the page. We will then reply to that email requesting further proof of your identity to ensure we only give the information to you.

6) Cookies & Other Tracking Information Used
  • Cookies (A text file that websites send to a visitor's computer or device) are used to identify the visitor's web browser or to store information or settings in the web browser. Although our website does not use cookies other third party plugins, tracking or advertising services may use them to provide services to us. This use is covered under their Privacy Policy.

  • We use web beacons and javascript on the site to provide features and effects on this site but mainly for cosmetic purposes like our falling snow for Christmas decoration.
